"Which leaves local lads Barrichello who with the merest flap of their whimsical cardigans and “bondies hollow EP” (****) win single of the week. Their indie strums are part Belle And Sebastian, part Hefner, part Bis but ultimately endearing cuddly and touching tunes to sip your snakebite and blackcurrant on the poop deck to."
(Doug Johnstone, The List)

"Fairly ker-ayzee stuff and the fact that it's from the home of ballboy makes it even more incongrous. The lead track is a weird mix of cheese and electropop a la DAF (not that this describes DAF at all), or a cheerier Baby Bird. Ever-present is a pervasive cheap Bontempi-esque synth sound like a Bontempi. With nods to Belle and Sebastian and early Aztec Camera on 'Static Information' and a Bill McLaren rugby commentary that isn't fully explained by the fact that the band are part-Welsh and on an Edinburgh record label, since what follows isn't unlike Wire. Good for sure but file under Odd."
(Stuart McHugh, jockrock.org)
